Purpose
Restructuring of the town centre: construction of homes, shops and services, public spaces (town hall square, new traffic lanes, promenade).
Total surface: 12 acres of which 5 acres for public space.
A programme comprising over 300 homes, over a quarter of which subsidised housing.

Progress status
The project was declared to be of common public interest on October 10, 2006.
Land acquisitions and rehousing are underway.
The development work in the public spaces began in June 2006.
The marketing phase is also underway (4 of the 7 islands comprising the mixed development zone have been allocated).
A committee on new environmental technologies has been appointed for the entire operation.
