SERL will soon be working with East Lyon's Community of municipalities to develop EverEst Business Park.
A project for new ambitions.
Explanation.
After a consultation by East Lyon's Community of municipalities (CCEL), the proposal submitted by SERL was selected by the community's analysis committee. The concessionary contract is currently being formalized, as the CCEL will deliberate on June 24, 2008.
A 40 ha project
• It is located at the entrance to the town of GENAS along the A46 motorway.
The programme aims to develop approximately 117,000 sqm (net floor space) for mixed and tertiary activities, and a service hub combining hotel facilities and amenities for companies and their staff. Investments will amount to approximately €25 million and the operation is due to stretch over 9 years.
• In the short term, the G'Sud park will represent one of SERL's biggest land tenders in the Greater Lyon area.
And the winner is…
Against strong competition - more than 15 projects withdrawn and 6 bids submitted - the CCEL accepted SERL's offer, attracted particularly by the project's proposed procedure, the urban concept and the financial engineering presented.
The proposed procedure places great emphasis on the environment and shared governance between SERL and the Community, which will be the decision-maker at all significant stages.
In the short term, the land tender on the G’Sud park will meet the expectations of companies in the eastern Greater Lyon area, given that the portfolio controlled by SERL has greatly diminished over the last 3 years due to the marketing momentum in this sector. G’Sud is now set to take over from the Saint Priest Technology Park, whose marketing is nearly complete. This comparison is not misplaced - the project conducted by SERL won over the elected representatives of the CCEL in what is, for our company, an esteemed reference, going beyond national borders (official Technology Park website).
This contract, in unexplored lands for SERL, between Greater Lyon and the airport, is the 1st major fruit of the active development policy employed by SERL since 2007.
